FTC makes 2nd request for information related to AbbVie/Allergan tie-up

As expected, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has submitted second formal requests to AbbVie (NYSE:ABBV) and Allergan (NYSE:AGN) for additional information and documents related to their planned merger. The requests extend the waiting period under the HSR Act until 30 days after the companies have fully complied.

The parties are cooperating fully with the FTC and continue to expect the transaction to close in Q1 2020.
