Merck KGaA said Monday that it would reorganize its growth-driving life-sciences division and that it would add new business units.
The German pharmaceuticals-and-chemicals company said it would integrate its existing contract-development and manufacturing organization and contract-testing services into one unit, named life science services. This will include the company's mRNA output, which is used in the development of some Covid-19 vaccines.
Merck's research-solutions and applied-solutions business units will also be merged into one, named science and lab solutions, the company said.
