Hapag-Lloyd AG said it will continue to avoid sending its container ships through the Red Sea, even after the launch of an international effort to protect the key route from militant attacks.
The company said it will continue to reroute its ships via the Cape of Good Hope — a detour of several thousand miles — in order to keep them, according to a statement.
