Battleground Voters Reject Kamala Harris on the Economy, Too

Brand new battleground state polling shows President Trump winning the crucial swing state of Pennsylvania, with a narrow 47-45% lead presently in head-to-head matchup with Kamala Harris. The poll was posted by American Greatness, and used North Star Opinion Research to question 600 likely voters there. The sample included a breakdown of voters who went for Biden +2% over Trump in the last 2020 election.

The details of the survey expose that voters hold Kamala Harris responsible for the miserable failures of Bidenomics. For instance, on the foundational question of “were you better off under Trump or under Biden/Harris,” the former president earns a commanding +14% lead, with a 51-37% margin for Trump. Looking within that majority who preferred Trump’s economy, a whopping 86% say they will vote for Trump over Harris.

Such details in the poll crosstabs clearly suggest that Kamala Harris owns all the baggage of a Biden economy that only works for the already successful, the owners of substantial assets that actually benefit from the Biden/Harris inflation crisis. For example, the poll crosstabs also show that the only income group where Harris jumps out to a serious lead in Pennsylvania is among voters who make $150,000 or more annually.

For the working-class masses, though, the economy has been one tough slog since Harris entered the White House as vice-president. In a shocking new survey from CNN, almost 4 in 10 Americans (39%) state that they worry they cannot pay their bills “all or most of the time.”  That anxiety number is even worse than during the tumult of the Great Recession of 2008, when it hit a previous high-water mark for worry, at 37% concerned about paying for necessities.

First, kudos to that liberal network CNN for speaking the truth about this economy and struggling regular families. But second, alarming numbers like that one show that Harris and Biden have created a two-tiered economy that works well for the credentialed ruling class, but punishes everyday workers, especially through super elevated costs for the staples of life.

For example, the US Department of Agriculture run by Harris and Biden tracks a “thrifty plan” measure of grocery prices for a family of four trying to afford a healthy diet through frugal grocery shopping. As the name suggests, this plan is not about luxuries and dining out, but rather about the staples. Since Harris became vice president, that monthly tab has soared by 44%, from $675/month when she took office to $975/month now. That extra $75 every single week just to put food on the table places a huge strain on working class families, and they rightly blame Harris and Biden.

If anything, Harris would likely make the pain inflicted by Bidenomics even worse. For example, she proposed an all-out ban on fracking, which would send food and gas prices even higher from the current punitive levels.

So, sensible Pennsylvania voters rally to Trump and clamor for a return to an economy of restrained prices and higher real wages. Those same voters make it clear that Kamala cannot escape the realities of Joe’s failures, especially regarding the border and the economy.
