Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office announced on X that the government "has just now approved the framework for the release of all of the hostages – the living and the deceased."
This sets off a 24-hour clock for the ceasefire to take effect and for Israeli forces to withdraw to the agreed-upon line. Following that, a 72-hour window for Hamas to release all the hostages will kick off, which Israel said could be completed on Sunday or Monday.
Some 2,000 Palestinian prisoners will then be released by Israel, once all of the Hamas-held hostages are freed. The amount of humanitarian aid is also set to increase.
