United States President Donald Trump said on Friday that he does not intend to restart tariff negotiations with Canada.
Speaking to reporters on board Air Force One, Trump said that he likes Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, adding that Carney apologized to him for an advertisement opposing US tariffs. However, he reiterated that Canada's actions regarding trade negotiations with the US were wrong.
The US president decided to pause trade talks with Canada last week, accusing the neighboring country of "cheating on tariffs" and attempting to influence the US Supreme Court.
