Seoul suspects the North Korean hacking group Lazarus of being behind the recent hacking of South Korea's largest crypto exchange Upbit, Yonhap reported, citing government and business sources.
Thursday's incident resulted in a withdrawal of about 45 billion won ($30.6 million) in cryptocurrencies to an unauthorized wallet address.
Upbit's operator, Dunamu, said it plans to cover the loss with its own assets.
