Coinbase Global Inc. announced on Wednesday that it's introducing stock trading and Kalshi-powered prediction markets in its largest diversification effort yet.
As part of its bid to become the "Everything Exchange," Coinbase said it is broadening the list of tradable assets to include novel cryptocurrencies, stocks, perpetual futures, and prediction markets. The main app will offer "a simple interface to trade futures and perps, the ability to trade all Solana assets as soon as they're created, primary token sales, the global launch of the Base App as an onchain "everything app," and general availability for Coinbase Business," the company's blog post said.
The company is also launching Coinbase Tokenize, an institutional platform aimed at tokenizing real-world assets, and Coinbase Advisor, an artificial intelligence (AI) financial management consultant.
