BriaCell Therapeutics (BCTX) has announced a significant development in its current clinical trial, highlighting the complete and sustained resolution of a lung metastasis in a patient with metastatic breast cancer. The patient, characterized as hormone receptor-positive and HER2-negative, experienced this outcome through treatment with Bria-OTS, BriaCell's off-the-shelf personalized immunotherapy.
The remarkable response was first seen in a 78-year-old participant of the Bria-OTS study, who had previously faced multiple treatment failures for her advanced breast cancer. After receiving four doses of the Bria-OTS therapy, a complete response was detected at the two-month mark. This encouraging result has been confirmed repeatedly at intervals of four, six, and eleven months.
Throughout the trial, the patient underwent 17 treatment cycles and completed a 12-month study period, maintaining her improved health status and currently remains under survival follow-up. This case underscores the potential effectiveness of Bria-OTS in addressing challenging cancer cases.
