Nvidia Corp. Chief Executive Officer Jensen Huang said on Saturday the company will commit major funding to OpenAI, describing the move as its largest to date.
According to CNBC, Huang confirmed Nvidia will join the next financing round but did not disclose the exact figure. He suggested the amount will be well below the $100 billion pledged in September. Huang, however, emphasized the partnership remains strong, noting, "We will definitely participate in the next round of financing."
That earlier deal outlined plans for Nvidia to support OpenAI with new datacenters and infrastructure built on its systems, with the first phase scheduled to begin in 2026 on the Vera Rubin platform.
