GSK Collaborates with Summit Therapeutics on Cancer Treatment Trial

Summit Therapeutics has partnered with GSK (GSK) to conduct clinical trials assessing a new cancer treatment strategy. The collaboration will focus on testing ivonescimab, an investigational PD-1/VEGF bispecific antibody, in combination with GSK's innovative B7-H3 targeting antibody drug conjugate, risvutatug rezetecan, across various solid tumors, including small cell lung cancer.

This joint effort aims to explore novel treatment combinations that may surpass existing options in efficacy. According to Summit's leadership, this partnership is designed to accelerate ivonescimab's development across multiple solid tumor types, expanding their strategic approach.

The study will evaluate the safety and potential anti-tumor effects of the drug combination. Under the agreement, Summit will supply ivonescimab, while GSK will oversee the clinical trial's daily operations. Both companies retain rights to their products, with the agreement being non-exclusive. The trial is scheduled to start patient dosing by mid-2026.
