Morocco announced on Monday that it has accepted US President Donald Trump's invitation and will join the "peace council" overseeing the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.
"The king agreed to President Donald Trump's proposal to become a founding member of the Peace Council on Gaza," the Moroccan Foreign Ministry said.
In recent hours, the council has attracted attention and criticism for its choice of leaders. Recently, reports have surfaced that invitations were extended to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
