Interim Venezuelan leader Delcy Rodriguez invited the United States government to "collaborate" on an "agenda of cooperation" in a new statement on Sunday local time.
This agenda, she said, is "oriented towards shared development within the framework of international law to strengthen lasting community coexistence." Initially, Washington's capture of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro led Rodriguez to denounce the intervention as a "grave military aggression."
US President Donald Trump threatened her with a fate worse than Maduro's should she fail to meet Washington's demands. Trump later said he spoke with Rodriguez and did not view her comments as "pushback."
