Major equities on Wall Street opened the first session of the week on Monday in the green territory despite the ongoing war in the Middle East.
Global markets are keeping a close eye on US President Donald Trump's hopes that a coalition of countries may be able to secure the passage of tankers through the Strait of Hormuz, which has seen several ships burning over a couple of days as Iran stepped up supply pressure.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 0.85% or 395 points at the opening bell. A minute later, Nvidia increased by 1.87%. The Nasdaq went up 0.99%, while the S&P 500 advanced 0.83%, as Intel jumped 6.16% in both at 9:32 am ET. The euro traded 0.57% higher against the dollar to go for at 9:24 am ET.
