Hamas' Gaza leader Mohammed Odeh was supposedly killed during an earlier attack by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in the Gaza Strip, Israeli Kan News reported on Tuesday.
The media outlet cited an Israeli source who confirmed the killing of Odeh based on initial assessments by the country's authorities. Neither the Israeli military nor Hamas has provided any comments yet.
Earlier today, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the IDF carried out a strike targeting the newly elected Hamas leader in Gaza. Odeh was elected last week, following the killing of his predecessor, Izz al-Din al-Haddad, earlier this month.
