Hezbollah announced that it carried out 16 separate strikes against Israeli army positions and vehicles across southern Lebanon.
The group said the attacks, which began on Wednesday night, included swarms of drones, rocket barrages and artillery fire targeting towns such as Bint Jbeil, Rashaf, Hadatha, Naqoura and Deir Seryan. Hezbollah claimed several confirmed hits on Israeli military equipment, including tanks and engineering vehicles.
The group described the operations as retaliation for Israeli actions in southern Lebanon. Its statement said the attacks were launched "in defense of Lebanon and its people and in response to the 'israeli' enemy's breach of the ceasefire the assault on civilians, the destruction of their homes and villages in southern Lebanon, and the rise of martyrs and a number of wounded."
