'Reports on Khamenei's uranium order said to be untrue'

 Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei did not give out a new order that would require enriched uranium to stay on the country's territory, Al-Jazeera reported on Thursday, citing a senior Iranian official.

The official denied previous media reports on the topic, insisting that they are "propaganda by the enemies of the deal" and adding that "no new order has been issued."

While the reports were dismissed, the official did reiterate that Tehran's position on the matter remains unchanged, which is that the country is willing to downblend the material. "That is the subject of talks in the next stage," the official remarked.
