Lithuania paused traffic at the capital's airport on Wednesday and issued an "air danger" warning due to concerns about drones entering the nation's airspace. According to Delfi, the country's largest news portal, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda, Prime Minister Inga Ruginiene, and Speaker of the Seimas Juozas Olekas were moved to shelters.
"Immediately take shelter in a safe place, take care of your close ones, await new recommendations," Lithuania's army said in a message addressed to citizens of the nation's capital.
Following the discovery of a suspected drone close to the Lithuanian-Belarusian border, the National Crisis Management Center declared an air hazard warning for the residents of the districts of Ignalina, Utena, Svencionys, and Zarasai.
