Trump: President Biden, Stop The Weaponization Of The Law And Close The Border

Former President Trump urged President Biden to stop the "weaponization" of the legal system against him and to close the U.S. Southern border during a speech Monday about the Supreme Court's decision to allow him to remain on the ballot.

"President Biden, number one, stop weaponization. Fight your fight yourself. Don't use prosecutors and judges to go after your opponent, our country is bigger than that.

"The other thing I say to President Biden; close the borders now. This is not sustainable for our country."

DONALD TRUMP: I will say that President Biden, number one, stop weaponization. Fight your fight yourself. Don't use prosecutors and judges to go after your opponent to try to damage your opponent so you can win an election. Our country is much bigger than that.

The other thing I say to President Biden, close the borders now! This is not sustainable for our country. It is not sustainable for our cities. Our country is under siege. This is a violent thing that you have done. And many people are dying. Many, many people are dying pure they die on the trip up and they die going through the border, and they die and our country. But many of the people coming up are from prisons and jails, from mental institutions and insane asylums, many terrorists, many, many are terrorists.

I believe the real number that we have right now is closer to 15 million people. By the time, I believe the president's term and I believe it will be close to 20 million people. That is almost larger than any state in the union. Our country, it is not sustainable. Many of these people are tough. Many of these people are bad. They come from some of the roughest countries in the world and some of the roughest prisons. We have prisons in the Congo, in Africa coming. We have people coming from all parts of the Middle East. They are coming from Yemen and yet we are bombing Yemen.

You have to stop and close the border. You have absolute authorization. You don't need Congress. I have the safest border in the history of the country. I didn't use Congress going forward. I built hundreds of millions of wall, and the reason I built it my considered it an invasion of our country and took the money from the military and te Army Corps of Engineers did it with me. We did a great job. We have the safest border we have ever had and now we have the most unsafe border, anywhere at any time, there's never been a border like this in any country anywhere in the world. They would have fought with sticks and stones to stop the horrible situation that is occurring.

Our people can't stand it, and the people coming in really can't stand it because they are dying. Many are dying on the trip up. They are dying in the country, and also many of the people are criminals and they are doing tremendous harm. I call that migrant crime, migrant crime, a new category of crime. They are hurting our country horribly.

We have become a laughing stock all over the world.

I say respectfully to President Biden, you have the authorization right now -- I did it. I didn't go to Congress and say, "Do I have the right to close?" But close the borders. You have everything may use my policies, and my policies are great. Everybody said it, use my policies.

So just to finish, I have great respect for the Supreme Court, and I want to thank them for working so quickly and so diligently and so brilliantly.

'Apple, Tesla, other tech companies prevail in US child labor appeal'

A federal appeals court on Tuesday refused to hold five major technology companies liable over their alleged support for the use of child labor in cobalt mining operations in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

In a 3-0 decision, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia ruled in favor of Google parent Alphabet , Apple, Dell Technologies, Microsoft and Tesla, rejecting an appeal by former child miners and their representatives.

The plaintiffs accused the five companies of joining suppliers in a "forced labor" venture by purchasing cobalt, which is used to make lithium-ion batteries that are widely used in electronics. Nearly two-thirds of the world's cobalt comes from the DRC.

According to the complaint, the companies "deliberately obscured" their dependence on child labor, including many children pressured into work by hunger and extreme poverty, to ensure their growing need for the metal would be met.

The 16 plaintiffs included representatives of five children who were killed in cobalt mining operations.

But the appeals court said buying cobalt in the global supply chain did not amount to "participation in a venture" under a federal law protecting children and other victims of human trafficking and forced labor.

Circuit Judge Neomi Rao said the plaintiffs had legal standing to seek damages, but did not show the five companies had anything more than a buyer-seller relationship with suppliers, or had power to stop the use of child labor.

She added that many other parties are responsible for labor trafficking, including labor brokers, other cobalt consumers and the DRC government.

"Without more specific allegations, the question is whether the tech companies' purchasing an unspecified amount of cobalt from a supply chain originating in DRC mines plausibly demonstrates 'participation in a venture' with anyone engaged in forced labor in that supply chain," Rao wrote. "We hold that it does not."

Ekso Bionics Shares Fall on Delayed CMS Payment Determination

Ekso Bionics Holdings shares tumbled nearly 25% after the exoskeleton-technology company said the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services delayed payment  determination for personal exoskeletons, including the Ekso Indego Personal.

Shares of the San Rafael, Calif., company were changing hands on Tuesday at $1.59, down 24%.

After the closing bell on Monday, Ekso said the CMS requested additional examples of non-Medicare payer data that would support a payment determination for qualifying products.

Ekso in December said it had received CMS coding approval for the Indego Personal, a tool designed to assist patients with standing and walking, with a proposed a payment level of $94,617, and that the agency was expected to make a final payment determination in February.

The company on Monday said it will provide pricing documentation to the CMS as soon as possible, adding that individual claims will be processed on a case-by-case basis until a reimbursement rate has been established.

Biden Has Secretly Flown 320,000 Illegals INTO US: Report

A Freedom of Information Act lawsuit has revealed that the Biden administration has flown at least 320,000 migrants into the United States in an effort to reduce the number of crossings at the southern border, according to Todd Bensman of the Center for Immigration Studies.

"The program at the center of the FOIA litigation is perhaps the most enigmatic and least-known of the Biden administration’s uses of the CBP One cellphone scheduling app, even though it is responsible for almost invisibly importing by air 320,000 aliens with no legal right to enter the United States since it got underway in late 2022," wrote Bensman.

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) had initially refused to disclose information about the flights, which use a cell phone app, CBP One, to arrange.

"Under these legally dubious parole programs, aliens who cannot legally enter the country use the CBP One app to apply for travel authorization and temporary humanitarian release from those airports. The parole program allows for two-year periods of legal status during which adults are eligible for work authorization," Bensman continues.

The flights resulted in illegal immigrants being placed in at least 43 American cities from January through December 2023.

Under the terms of their release, migrants are able to remain in the US for two years without obtaining legal status, and are meanwhile eligible for work authorization.

The Biden administration initially refused to disclose which airports undocumented aliens were being flown into, citing a 'law enforcement exception,' new information reveals that the government thought 'bad actors' might pose a safety risk or create law enforcement opportunities - with CBP lawyers writing that revealing the specific airports would "reveal information about the relative number of individuals arriving, and thus resources expended at particular airports."

Treason indeed!

In response to the CIS report, Elon Musk wrote on X: "Treason indeed! Ushering in vast numbers of illegals is why Secretary Mayorkas was impeached by the House," adding "They are importing voters. This is why groups on the far left fight so hard to stop voter ID requirements, under the absurd guise of protecting the right to vote."

Musk also suggested that the national security threat posed by the program makes it "highly probable that the groundwork is being laid for something far worse than 9/11."

Meanwhile, in 2022 it was revealed that the Biden administration was flying illegal immigrants all over the US on redeye flights, according to the NY Post (and noted by modernity.news)
