The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed on Friday that its troops eliminated a deputy commander of Hamas' Gaza Brigade, Imad Hassan Hussein Aslim, in an airstrike in the Gaza Strip this week.
"In recent years, and particularly during recent times, Aslim has advanced dozens of imminent attacks against IDF soldiers operating in the Gaza Strip, posing an immediate threat to them," the Israeli military wrote in a statement, claiming that Aslim commanded a battalion during the October 7 attack.
The IDF also added that another Hamas operative was present at the targeted location and that the results of this strike are currently under review.
