Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories (RDY -0.5%) has launched Dexmedetomidine Hydrochloride in 0.9% Sodium Chloride Injection, a generic version of Pfizer's Precedex.
Precedex brand and generic market had U.S. sales of ~$210M MAT for the most recent twelve months ending in June 2020 according to IQVIA Health.
The med is approved for sedation of initially intubated and mechanically ventilated patients during treatment in an intensive care setting.
