FDA OKs emergency use of new COVID-19 test with OraSure saliva collection devices

The FDA has approved emergency use authorization of a COVID-19 test kit developed at Quadrant Biosciences. The nod includes OraSure's (NASDAQ:OSUR) ORAcollect-RNA device for the collection of saliva swab samples.

OSUR says this is the sixth COVID-19 test using one of its collection devices approved for emergency use in the U.S., and the first to exclusively utilize a saliva collection method.
