'Putin received reports of fall of Pokrovsk, Volchansk'

 Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the Joint Group of Forces command post on Sunday, November 30, where he received reports of the capture of the key cities of Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region of Ukraine, and Volchansk in the Kharkiv region, Kremlin Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said on Monday.

"During his visit, he heard reports from Chief of the General Staff [Valery] Gerasimov, Commander of the Center Group [Valery] Solodchuk, and Commander of the East Group [Andrey] Ivanayev," Peskov revealed. The Russian president was also briefed about the operations to capture Hulyaipole, a strategically vital town in the Zaporizhzhia region of southern Ukraine.

Pokrovsk, known in Russia as Krasnoarmeysk, occupies a strategic point in the western Donetsk region, with heavy battles raging in the city and its vicinity since last year.
