Russia: European troops in Ukraine legitimate target

 Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov repeated Moscow's warning that if European countries deploy their troops in Ukraine, they will become a "legitimate target" for Russia.

"The ambitions [of European politicians] literally blind them: not only do they not care about Ukrainians, but they also seem to care about their own population. How else can we explain the ongoing talk in Europe about sending military contingents to Ukraine in the form of a 'coalition of the willing?'" Lavrov told TASS.

Leaders of several European countries had previously touted the idea of sending troops to Ukraine to enforce a potential future peace agreement.
