US: No immediate threat from missile launches

 The United States Indo-Pacific Command said on Sunday that it is aware of missile launches in the region and is consulting closely with allies and partners. "Based on current assessments, this event does not pose an immediate threat to US personnel or territory, or to our allies," it added.

Although it did not refer to a specific incident, the statement likely alludes to North Korea's ballistic missile test earlier today. "The United States remains committed to the defense of the US homeland and our allies in the region," the command reiterated.
