Iran calls response to US proposal ‘generous,’ says its forces are ready to act

 

• Iran called its latest proposal to the United States “reasonable and generous,” on Monday after Washington rejected it as unacceptable.

• Iran’s internet blackout entered its 73rd day on Monday, surpassing 1,728 hours, internet monitor NetBlocks said.

• South Korea plans to respond to an attack on the HMM Namu cargo ship, the presidential Blue House said on Monday, adding that Seoul was unaware at this point what role, if any, Iran had in the incident.

• Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman said on Monday that Tehran had not yet “settled score” with those who acted against the country, responding to a question about Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s comments that the war was not over.

• Iran’s state broadcaster reported that Tehran’s response to the latest US proposal includes demands for compensation over war damage and recognition of the Islamic Republic’s sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz.
