Russian President Vladimir Putin remarked on Saturday that Iran has a good reason to trust his country on nuclear issues.
"Iran trusts us completely, and not without reason, because, firstly, we have never violated any agreements, and secondly, we continue peaceful nuclear programs in Iran," Putin said at a press conference following the Victory Day celebrations. Russia previously offered to take in Iran's enriched uranium if necessary.
Furthermore, Putin expressed hope about a quick end to the conflict in Iran. He estimated that neither of the two sides is interested in continuing the confrontation, although he described the relations between the United States and Iran as complex.
