Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin said on Monday that Moscow is not seeing signals that Ukraine is willing to make "substantive progress" on a peace settlement. He told the Russian newspaper Izvestia that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky should withdraw troops from "Donbas and other Russian regions" as a prerequisite for a "truly comprehensive, just, and sustainable peace."
Galuzin said the negotiation process will not be easy, but that Russia is ready to restart it. He added that Moscow is currently working on humanitarian issues, including prisoner exchanges, the return of civilians and family reunification.
