United States President Donald Trump pressed South Carolina lawmakers to delay the state's congressional primaries until August.
He said the move would give Republicans more time to address redistricting and urged them to follow Tennessee's example from last week.
Trump said he is "watching closely" and called on the GOP to use "every legal and constitutional authority" to counter Democrats, whom he accused of manipulating maps and census counts.
