The United States and Iran have agreed to halt strikes following a recent escalation, Axios reported on Sunday, citing a senior US official. The two sides will also allegedly meet on June 30 in Doha to discuss the Strait of Hormuz. According to the report, the talks were previously supposed to take place in Switzerland and focus on Iran's nuclear program.
The latest round of attacks started earlier this week, when the US struck Iranian missile and drone storage locations and radar sites in retaliation for Iran's targeting of a Singapore-flagged cargo ship in the Strait of Hormuz. Tehran responded by launching attacks on targets in Bahrain and Kuwait.
