Blackstone Inc. limited withdrawals from its flagship private credit fund, Blackstone Private Credit (BCRED), for the first time after investors attempted to withdraw 10% of outstanding shares, or roughly $4.5 billion, during the second-quarter. The fund is the most recent to cap withdrawals amid a persistent exodus of investors.
According to a filing on Thursday, the $79 billion Blackstone Private Credit Fund informed investors that it will return 5% of their investment. The fund permitted investors to redeem a record 7.9% during the preceding quarter.
