The footage showing an Iranian drone striking the Kuwait International Airport has been fabricated, the Iran International English news channel alleged on Thursday, citing an earlier report by the Tasnim News Agency.
According to a military source familiar with the matter, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force launched drones toward United States-linked targets in Kuwait during the night, while the footage shows a drone hitting the airport in the daylight.
Previously, the IRGC insisted that Iran did not target the Kuwait Airport, blaming it instead on a "malfunction" in the US Patriot air-defense system.
