Israel kills Hezbollah's missile commander in Lebanon

 The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported on Monday that it killed the commander of Hezbollah's missile unit, Muhammad Musa Matirek, in the Nabatiya region in southern Lebanon.

"Over the years, Matirek held a variety of positions in Hezbollah's missile array. Matirek was responsible for promoting and executing hundreds of rocket and unmanned aerial vehicle launches against citizens of the State of Israel and IDF forces, including the Golani Brigade operating in the Beaufort area, which directed the Air Force to eliminate him," the Israeli military said.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese militant group reportedly told the Trump administration over the weekend that it is willing to accept a ceasefire agreement with Israel, despite previous reports signaling that Yemen's Houthis are prepared to join Hezbollah in its fight against Israel.
