Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said on Thursday that his country, Qatar, and Egypt will have to take "radical steps" if the United States does not apply the necessary pressure on Israel regarding the situation in Gaza.
"Israel's failure to take any further steps on the Palestinian issue could compel us and the other mediators to take a radical step collectively. In this process, we expect the United States to apply the necessary pressure on Israel. Otherwise, Turkey, Qatar, and Egypt will be forced to take radical steps on this matter. This is a responsibility toward our nation, our people, and the Palestinians," Fidan said.
The Turkish foreign minister also claimed that Israel failed to take any further steps despite the Palestinian side fulfilling its commitments concerning the transition to the second phase of the deal.
