Sun: Tildrakizumab Now Under FDA Review for Psoriatic Arthritis Indication

The manufacturer of the interleukin-23 inhibitor tildrakizumab (Ilumya), Sun Pharma, announced today that the FDA has accepted its supplemental biologics license application for the indication of active psoriatic arthritis (PsA) in adults.

The manufacturer said it expects to have a decision from the agency by October 29, 2026. PsA would be the second major indication for the biologic since it was first approved in 2018 for adults with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis who are candidates for systemic therapy or phototherapy, with subsequent approvals for scalp psoriasis in April 2024 and nail plaque psoriasis in December 2025.

In its announcement, Sun Pharma said that nearly 140,000 patients have been treated with tildrakizumab worldwide.

Sun Pharma conducted the INSPIRE-1 and INSPIRE-2 phase 3 clinical studies in more than 800 adults with active PsA to support its application and reported results in July 2025 but has yet to report the full findings. At 24 weeks, significantly more patients receiving tildrakizumab 100 mg met the endpoint of 20% improvement in American College of Rheumatology response criteria compared with placebo.

INSPIRE-1 enrolled patients having prior exposure to an anti-TNF agent while the INSPIRE-2 enrolled anti-TNF-naive patients; in both studies, treatment with either tildrakizumab or placebo was given at weeks 0 and 12. In each trial, patients were permitted to use concomitant methotrexate or leflunomide.

Iran war may last at least another month

The war with Iran could last longer than initially planned, with preparations underway for at least another month of fighting, Israel's Channel 12 news reported on Monday, citing a senior Israeli official. The source claimed that US President Donald Trump remained in favor of Israel carrying out the campaign.

"The war in Iran will last longer than planned. Preparing for fighting for at least another month. Trump is with us," Channel 12 quoted the official as saying.

According to the source, Israel was gearing up for an extended period of fighting, in an effort to undermine the Iranian government and take advantage of what it perceived as indications of internal instability among the nation's leadership.

'Huang: Nvidia is world's first vertically integrated firm'

Nvidia Corporation Chief Executive Jensen Huang described on Monday the business he leads as the "world's first vertically integrated and horizontally open company."

Speaking at Nvidia's GPU Technology Conference (GTC) in San Jose, California, Huang said that "we work and integrate Nvidia's technology into whatever platform you would like us to integrate into ... so that we can bring accelerated computing to everybody in the world." He noted that accelerating computing is not an issue with chips or specific systems, which is why it "has to be library after library, domain after domain, vertical after vertical." "We integrate our libraries, we accelerate workloads, we land those customers in the clouds," he stressed.

Huang hailed Nvidia's achievements in accelerating computing and data processing by pointing out its partnerships with various major companies and platforms, including Alphabet Inc.'s Google Cloud, Microsoft Corporation's Azure, Amazon.com Inc.'s Amazon Web Services (AWS), and IBM Corporation.

Mamdani will lower speed limits to 15 mph in school zones: sources

Mayor Zohran Mamdani is poised to lower speed limits to 15 mph across the city’s school zones 24 hours a day, sources confirmed.

The traffic safety announcement expected to be made at 12:45 p.m. Monday will use Sammy’s Law, a 2024 piece of legislation that allows city officials to set speed limits below the state minimum.

Sammy’s Law is named after Sammy Cohen Eckstein, a 12-year-old boy fatally struck by a car in Prospect Park in October 2013.

Mamdani’s city-run preschool expansion will leave parents with no other choice

Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s drive to expand “free” (city-run, taxpayer-funded) preschool programs is already squeezing private-sector providers, suggesting this “transformation” is more about a government takeover of the sector than anything else.

Consider the private Manhattan day care preparing to hike prices 20% to cover higher costs for qualified workers, as city pre-K competitors push up wages.

The Manhattan Schoolhouse tuition increase was announced just weeks before the announcement of Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s 2-K for All plan.Luiz C. Ribeiro for NY Post

“The teachers who are working for DOE, their salaries are much higher, so we are competing with them,” Manhattan Schoolhouse co-founder and CEO Kamila Faruki told The Post.

Yes: Public school teachers are paid much more (starting salaries: $68,900 vs. $50,000) than private-sector ones, plus with less quality control.

Of course, the United Federation of Teachers insists these 2K “instructors” get union wages and benefits; expect job protections like the ones that make even abusive K-12 “educators” so hard to fire, too.

But costs for every stage run to more than $36,000 per kid — about $13,000 more than the city average cost for private child care — with a final budget now projected at $6 billion a year.

And that’ll likely wind up even higher, once the expansion pushes private and nonprofit operators out of the preschool market entirely, so that the city program has to care for even more tots.

Except for the very wealthy, parents who need day care will have to accept whatever the city offers — or move away.
