Microsoft's Q1 revenue up 18% to $77.7B

 Microsoft Corporation announced on Wednesday that its revenue in the first quarter of the company's fiscal year 2026 saw an annual rise of 18% to hit $77.7 billion, beating estimates.

The tech giant reported that its operating income increased by 24% year-on-year to $37.9 billion. Its net income grew by 12% over the same period to $27.7 billion, while its diluted earnings per share (EPS) went up by 13% to $3.72.

"Our planet-scale cloud and AI factory, together with Copilots across high value domains, is driving broad diffusion and real-world impact. It's why we continue to increase our investments in AI across both capital and talent to meet the massive opportunity ahead," Microsoft's Chairman and CEO Satya Nadella commented.

Microsoft's shares dropped by 3.74% in after-hours trading after the results were released.
