South Korean President Lee Jae-myung (pictured right) said on Sunday that his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping (left) this week "fully restored" bilateral relations. He said that the two countries are once again on the path of practical cooperation and mutual benefit.
Lee said the two sides agreed to hold regular high-level exchanges and communication to "strengthen political mutual trust between the two countries, expand personnel and local exchanges, and further deepen friendly relations." Xi's visit to South Korea was the first in 11 years, with Lee stating that he looks forward to traveling to China in the near future.
