Russian President Vladimir Putin reiterated on Thursday Moscow's readiness to pursue diplomacy with the United States and seriously discuss Washington's plan to end the conflict in Ukraine.
He noted that "every point" of the US proposal should be discussed, adding that his aide Yuri Ushakov is in contact with American officials. Speaking about the US peace plan, the Russian president told reporters in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, that "there were no draft treaties. There was a set of questions that were proposed for discussion and final formulation," stressing the need to translate the document into "diplomatic language" but repeating that it could form the basis of a future peace agreement.
Russia expects US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff to arrive in Moscow for talks next week, Putin revealed.
