Argentina's President Javier Milei praised on Saturday United States President Donald Trump's pressure aimed at "liberating" Venezuela.
"Argentina welcomes the pressure exerted by the United States and Donald Trump to liberate the Venezuelan people. The time for timid approaches to this issue has come to an end," Milei said during a Mercosur summit in Brazil.
His remarks follow an escalation of the conflict between Caracas and Washington after the US seized an oil tanker off the coast of Venezuela, and Trump said that a war with Venezuela is not currently being discussed, but remains a possibility.
