US President Donald Trump said Sunday the outcome of ongoing peace negotiations between Ukraine and Russia could become clear "in a few weeks," following high-level talks at his Mar-a-Lago residence with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
If no resolution is reached in the coming weeks, Trump warned that the conflict would persist, stating, "They will keep dying, and we don't want that to happen, he [Zelensky] doesn't want it to happen, President Putin doesn't want it to happen either."
Trump described the discussions as "very detailed" and noted that despite a few unresolved issues, the two sides are "very close" to an agreement.
