An agreement between the United States and Iran would be adopted as a binding United Nations resolution if reached within 60 days, Iranian state media reported on Wednesday, citing a draft framework for a memorandum of understanding sent by the US.
Other clauses include the previously rumored reopening of the Strait of Hormuz to commercial vessels within 30 days and the end of the US naval blockade of Iranian ports. In addition, the strait would be jointly managed by Iran and Oman. However, Iranian media outlets insist that the deal has not been finalized and that Tehran's approval depends on "tangible verification."
