Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Thursday that at least five people were killed and around 40 were injured, while over 10 remain missing in the latest wave of Russian strikes in Kyiv overnight. Across the country, around 180 sites were damaged, including 50 residential buildings.
Zelensky added that Russia twice targeted a vehicle of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, with the office head and eight staff inside. No one was injured and the mission personnel have been evacuated. Zelensky stated that Ukrainian air defenses shot down 93% of Russian missiles and drones, but warned that destroying ballistic missiles remains "the most difficult challenge." He repeated the importance of maintaining pressure on Russia "such that they feel the consequences of their terror there."
