Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky remarked on Thursday that Russia's recent armed actions against his country show that it is "not seriously considering a ceasefire."
"Ukraine will act justly – day by day. We proposed a ceasefire starting at midnight on May 6. Yesterday and today, Russia has violated this ceasefire regime. In a mirror response to Russian strikes, we will continue our long-range sanctions," Zelensky wrote on his social media accounts, while noting Kiev's dedication to solving the crisis diplomatically.
Zelensky added that Ukraine's long-range sanctions "have once again reached Perm, which is more than 1,500 kilometers from our border." He stressed that his country will continue to target Russia's military-industrial complex if Moscow does not end its military campaign.
