Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) warned the United States that its response "will not be limited" and the Strait of Hormuz will be fully closed to oil and gas exports in case of repeated military action against Iranian forces.
The two countries exchanged new strikes overnight, with Tehran accusing American naval forces of assisting four tankers in breaking the blockade of the vital waterway. According to the US Central Command (CENTCOM), hostilities commenced after Iranian drones were launched toward the Strait. Iran eventually launched its own missile attack against Washington's bases in Kuwait and Bahrain in response to the US targeting coastal radar installations.
