US President Donald Trump's administration announced it will appeal a federal judge's ruling blocking the president's $100,000 fee for H-1B visa applications, a notice to the Justice Department showed on Thursday.
On Monday, US District Judge Leo Sorokin of the District of Massachusetts struck down and vacated the supplemental fee for new H-1B visas, declaring the policy "unlawful" in its entirety and ruling that Trump exceeded his authority by imposing what amounted to a tax without Congressional approval.
