Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov stated on Monday that negotiations to replace the New START nuclear arms treaty should also involve the United Kingdom and France.
Ryabkov explained that Britain and France, as Washington's close allies, should participate in the discussions.
The New START treaty between the US and Russia, limiting strategic offensive arms, had expired on February 5. Moscow had expressed a desire to renew it, while US President Donald Trump suggested a new agreement should be reached instead.
