Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto stated on Tuesday that the European Union is "not interested in success" of ongoing trilateral peace negotiations between the United States, Ukraine and Russia.
"The foreign ministers of European countries are now openly saying that the European Union is not ready for peace," Szijjarto said in an interview, adding that instead, "the continuation of the war" is in the interests of the bloc.
Moreover, the foreign minister underlined that Russia is not in conflict with Europe and that Brussels and Kiev agreed to send European troops to Ukraine "under the pretext of protecting the security of all of Europe." "Russia has not attacked any EU country. The Russians are at war with the Ukrainians, there is a Russian-Ukrainian war, and this has nothing to do with us," he concluded.
