Guangzhou Xiaopeng Motors Technology Co., Ltd., better known as XPeng, announced in a statement on Monday that it rolled out its first mass-produced robotaxi in Guangzhou.
"The newly unveiled Robotaxi, built on the XPENG GX platform, is China's first production-ready, pre-assembled Robotaxi model developed entirely with in-house technologies and engineered to L4 autonomous driving standards. Powered by four self-developed Turing AI chips, it delivers an industry-leading effective on-board computing power of 3,000 TOPS," the company detailed.
Pilot robotaxi operations are expected to start in the second half of 2026. Earlier, in January, the self-driving vehicle got a road testing permit for intelligent connected cars in Guangzhou, while XPeng established its robotaxi business unit in March.
