Kuwait's Defense Ministry said on Saturday that the country's armed forces intercepted seven "hostile" ballistic missiles over Kuwaiti airspace during an Iranian attack earlier in the day.
Military spokesman Brigadier General Saud Abdulaziz Al-Otaibi said on X that air defense forces detected and engaged the missiles over several residential areas, resulting in debris falling to the ground. He added that the "Iranian criminal aggression" caused material damage but no casualties.
Earlier, Bahrain condemned what it described as an Iranian missile attack against the two Gulf states, while Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said it had carried out strikes against targets in Kuwait and Bahrain in retaliation for US attacks on Iranian territory.
