Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin said Thursday that his department could fix New York City's migrant crime problem in one month — if Mayor Zohran Mamdani lets him.
"If we had partnership with NYPD, we can clean that city up in 30 days," Mullin said at a news conference Thursday.

Mullin criticized the "radical socialist" for being "anti-law enforcement" and "handcuffing" the NYPD from being able to do its job.
"It's shameful because NYPD is awesome," he told reporters.
"They're phenomenal to work with. They have the best crowd procedures. They have the best law enforcement agency. I'd put them up against just about any city around the country."
Mullin added: "Hopefully the people of New York will, you know, will wise up and get a true leader in there in a few years."
"President Trump loves New York City. He loves the Knicks, too, obviously," he also said, "and the fact that the way the mayor treated him once he left the Oval Office, will tell you what type of man he is."
